This is a listing for a one of a kind vintage quilt which has been rescued and reworked. There were a lot of holes and worn areas in this hand-pieced beauty. Created out of vintage floral feed sacks, which was common for the time period of the 1930s. A very soft fabric. I have layered handkerchiefs and linens over worn parts, and the quilt is completely hand-stitched in a spiral all over the quilt. The edge has been blanket stitched for added security.
There have been many hours of work put into this piece. The layering and colors, as well as hand-stitching is comparable to a Kantha quilt. Comfort levels have been thoroughly tested by my animal kids. Previously loved for countless years, and has been given new life just for you! The last photo is what the top looked like prior to layering new pieces and hand-quilting.
Perfect for a throw quilt, on a bed, couch, or your favorite chair. Measures 67 x 75 inches, and weighs about 6 pounds, 3 ounces. Will fit a twin bed, or fold up for the end of a queen or king sized bed. Thank you for looking!
